  Where is the Annual Meeting 2017?

  hmm, it's taken the big gb a long while to approve the annual meeting to be uploaded to their beloved tv.jw.org site.

  well.... from what i've read, it looks like they'll probably have to cut out a lot of embarrassing bits.

  wonder how lett's "immorality ... i mean immortality" would look on an official society video?

  I know, I'm just wondering if that's gonna be their standard for widely streamed events: If everybody saw it, there's no need to upload it. I suspected this even before this year's annual meeting happened.

  Secret sex in the Org

  both are alone in car as the only 2 out in field service.

  An elder married with 4 children has sex with his brother's wife (all of them JWs). No one divorces. Disfellowshipped and reinstated. A few years later, elder's wife has sex with her husband's brother. (So basically wife swapping with a few years delay.) No one divorces. Disfellowshipped and reinstated. Elder reappointed as elder. Both couples remain good friends til death.

  I don't think we'll see an official copy based on precident. The last two special meetings that were streamed, the 2013 Annual Meeting and the 2015 Branch Visit were never put on JW Broadcasting. We'll probably get a 10 minute highlight video as usual though.

  Satan in Heaven

  this has always baffled me.

  that is why was satan and his demons allowed to be in heaven for so long after they split from god?.

  if we did that then we are out of the congregation, members are shunned and also kicked out of families homes.

  Judicial cases can often take a week or longer to resolve, and on e day is a thousand years with God, so Satan was officially announced as disfellowshipped within the week. How's that? 😉

  i temped at bethel 3 times for varying lengths of time and found working there to not always be the rosy picture some would paint.

  not a surprise really, but i think one of the things that surprised me the most was how a lot of the permanent bethelites (especially older ones) were so impersonal to temps.

  they acted like you weren't worth investing their time in since you weren't permanent.

  This is a good question to make a JW think . . . Because Paul was talking SPECIFICALLY about Jewish festivals when he said that it's up to each individual Christian conscience to decide weather to observe them or not.

  Revisiting the two witness rule, new light.

  it’s already been disgusted how mathew 18: verses 18 on showing that there’s not a cut and dry way to enforce a rule or law in another thread i started.

  but let’s look at verse 16 the verse they like to quote.

  the verse isn’t talking about having two witnesses to a crime or a wrong doing , it’s saying if you have a problem with a brother and he’s not willing to listen to your side off the issue to take some witnesses with you that agree with you to help establish that your point of view is in fact correct.

  Exactly! It was incredibly stupid of them to make that recent morning worship video about the two witness rule, because up until that point most R&F JWs didn't even know about it in this context. They could've changed it and been a little easier. But now just like the blood doctrine, the more time that passes the more casualties add up, and the greater the probability of liability.
